Pelvic Floor and Women's Health

Women's Health and Pelvic Floor PT is specialized rehabilitation for conditions which are unique to the female anatomy and often involve the pelvic muscles.

These muscles have many functions, including:

• Providing support to the pelvic organs
• Assisting in starting and stopping the flow of urine and stool
• Aiding in sexual function

Pelvic Floor PT is provided by a doctor of physical therapy who has specialized training on the pelvic floor muscles, as well as conditions which commonly affect women throughout their lifetime. Our team uses a holistic approach including assessment of posture, movement and behavioral patterns, breathing, pelvic floor muscle tone, past history, and more.

Offering physical therapy specialty services for women’s health issues including:

  • Pregnancy and postpartum health and fitness

  • Abdominal health including diastasis recti

  • Orthopedic conditions including but not limited to low back, sacral, and hip pain

  • Pelvic pain

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Incontinence

  • Constipation

  • Urinary urgency and frequency
