Kim
Knopik
PT, MPA

Kim went to UNL for her undergraduate studies and then to UNMC for her physical therapy training.  She also earned a Master of Public Administration from UNO due to an interest in management.  She worked at St Elizabeth Medical Center for 16 years before joining Midwest Physical Therapy in 2006 where she has been at the Pine Lake location. Midwest Physical Therapy was later sold to LOPT, and Kim continued to work at the same location, as she enjoys working near her home.

Through the years, Kim has had the opportunity to work in many different areas of physical therapy, but her passion is working with orthopedic and vestibular patients.  Kim enjoys the challenge of determining the root cause of a patient's injury and educating patients on what they can do to rehabilitate their body so they can return to the activities they enjoy and live a healthy lifestyle.  The variety of patient injuries is also an aspect of orthopedics that appeals to Kim.  She believes, you cannot just treat a body part, but that you must look at the entire body and get to know each person to adequately treat each patient.

Away from work, Kim enjoys spending time with family, reading, working out and traveling.
