Katie is a native of Omaha, Nebraska, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska Omaha, followed by her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from the College of Saint Mary. During her time at UNO, she was a member of the university’s dance team and later spent six years dancing for the semi-professional football team, the Omaha Beef.

Most recently, Katie worked as an occupational therapist in Grand Island, specializing in outpatient orthopedics with a focus on upper extremity rehabilitation and orthotic fabrication. Her favorite part of being a therapist is helping her patients achieve their goals and return to the activities that bring them joy. In her free time, she enjoys teaching dance and spending time with her boyfriend, Trevor, and their two cats, Monkey and Coo.
