Austin received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he graduated with highest distinction. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2017. As a Lincoln native and proud North Star alum, Austin enjoyed playing sports of all kinds growing up. An ACL injury sustained during a high school basketball game led him to become a patient at LOPT where he was able to see what physical therapy was all about from the inside. Austin chose to become a physical therapist because he experienced first hand the impact you can make in peoples’ lives and the depth of relationship you can build with patients.
Austin enjoys working with people of all ages and orthopedic conditions, from high school athletes to people with knee replacements. He seeks to provide optimal care by tailoring treatment sessions to meet each individuals’ needs. He is passionate about improving his patients’ quality of life by helping them return to activities that are meaningful to them.
Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending time with his family and friends, especially his beautiful wife, Julie. He loves being active and enjoys lifting weights and playing sports of all kinds, especially basketball and golf. He also likes watching sports and is a glutton for punishment as a die hard Huskers fan.
