A native of Lincoln, Sarah received a BA in Dance Pedagogy from Butler University in 1999, then started her career as a professional dancer with Omaha Theater Ballet. As a member of OTB, Sarah performed numerous works of classical and contemporary ballet in addition to serving on faculty in the Omaha Theater Ballet school of dance. In 2003 she was invited to join the dance department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as an adjunct professor of ballet technique and lecturer of dance history. Sarah continued her professional performance career with freelance opportunities ranging from cirque-style modern performance art to puppetry. She also established her own private dance studio, training and coaching dancers of all ages and levels in ballet for the next twelve years. She is Nebraska’s only certified American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum instructor, as well as a trained Pilates instructor. In May 2017 Sarah returned to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant, graduating in 2020 and starting work in post-surgical inpatient rehabilitation before coming on board with LOPT later that same year. She enjoys being a PTA and utilizing her 20+ years of dance background and core training focus to help people optimize their physical performance and live pain-free. In her spare time Sarah continues to guest teach ballet in Lincoln and Omaha, loves cooking and traveling, and being with her husband Cris and their two children.
